Family Portrait I, 2018

Digital Video Painting / AR Print, 2:00 min

In this series, I work to create family portraits that exude a multi-dimensional aspect of identity. Identities are not solely our own but are also informed by the culture, time, and context surrounding us. What constitutes identity is very much about what is around the individual, literally and figuratively, instead of solely the individual themselves. In the series, the figures portrayed are not specific real people but act as prototypical stand-ins of identities without the individual.
